According to the Provincial Inspectorate's report, in the first six months of 2018, state administrative agencies at all levels throughout the province received 3,423 visits from citizens lodging complaints, denunciations, and suggestions, a decrease of 4.5% compared to the same period in 2017.
However, the handling of complaints revealed that only 10% were found to be true, while 61.4% were false, and 28.6% contained both true and false elements. Many opinions expressed at the meeting explained several reasons for the high number of false complaints, and based on this, solutions were sought to reduce this situation and improve the effectiveness and quality of complaint and denouncement activities in the area.
Regarding anti-corruption efforts, through inspection, budget appraisal, final account verification, budget revenue and expenditure control, and investigation, supervision, and prosecution work at all levels and sectors in the province, a total of 142.418 billion VND in irregularities were discovered (an increase of 26.72% compared to the same period in 2017), of which 111.733 billion VND was processed, achieving a rate of 78.5%.

Regarding traffic safety in the first five months of 2018, despite an increase in the number of vehicles, traffic accidents decreased significantly across all three criteria compared to the same period last year, with a reduction of over 14% (exceeding the target of 5% - 10%). From December 16, 2017 to May 15, 2018, there were 98 accidents in the province, resulting in 70 deaths and 77 injuries. Compared to the same period in 2017, this represents a decrease of 16 accidents, 14 deaths, and 13 injuries.
Assessing crime prevention and control efforts in the first six months of the year, the provincial police report clearly indicated that recently, several types of crimes have emerged that are highly sophisticated, involving theft, intentional infliction of injury, murder due to social causes, robbery, and public disorder. Notably, the situation of crimes using social media platforms like Facebook to commit fraud and seize property continues to be complex, causing significant financial losses to citizens.
