Continue to mobilize people's strength to prevent and fight Covid-19 epidemic

On the afternoon of April 16, the Standing Committee of the Provincial Fatherland Front held an online meeting with the Fatherland Front of districts, cities and towns to evaluate the work of the first quarter of 2020, deploy tasks of the second quarter and some urgent tasks to prevent and control the Covid-19 epidemic in the province. Assessing the working results of the Fatherland Front system from the province to the grassroots level, the Standing Committee of the Provincial Fatherland Front Committee and districts, cities and towns emphasized many outstanding results in the first quarter of 2020.

Notably, in conjunction with the implementation of activities before and after the Lunar New Year, the Fatherland Front at all levels in the province focused on propagating the Party Congresses at all levels; the 90th anniversary of the Party's founding; especially propagating with a high duration on the guidelines of the Government and the Provincial People's Committee as well as measures and solutions to prevent and control the Covid-19 epidemic; at the same time, mobilizing the entire population to participate in supporting the prevention and control of the epidemic at the call of the Presidium of the Central Committee of the Vietnam Fatherland Front.

As a result, after 20 days of launching, from March 25 to April 15, the total registration was nearly 66 billion VND and the implementation was over 61 billion VND, the 3rd highest in the country after Hanoi and Ho Chi Minh City. Of which, the provincial level was 21.2 billion VND; the district level was 40.1 billion VND.

In the first quarter, the Fatherland Front at all levels also promoted the spirit of creativity and self-management among the people with many practical movements and activities, such as calling for support for Tet for the Poor with 76.2 billion VND, the largest ever; calling for the construction of Great Unity houses for 950 poor households/target of 1,200 houses by May 19, 2020.

The Fatherland Front at all levels has also actively launched a competition to propose innovative ideas and improve the effectiveness of its operations. In the fight against the Covid-19 pandemic, the Fatherland Front at all levels has turned difficulties into opportunities in innovating methods and methods of operation on IT platforms, using social networks to call for and implement campaigns.

Performing the function of promoting the right to mastery, protecting the legitimate rights and interests of the people, the Fatherland Front at all levels has also participated in the work of receiving people, urging the settlement of voters' petitions and recommendations; organizing social supervision and criticism activities, and at the same time issuing a dialogue plan between the heads of Party committees and authorities with the people; giving opinions on perfecting and resolving the regime and policies for cadres in merged units...

Concluding the conference, Chairwoman of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Nghe An province Vo Thi Minh Sinh emphasized that the top priority task of the Fatherland Front at all levels in the current period is to propagate and mobilize people of all walks of life to seriously implement Directive 15 and Directive 16 of the Prime Minister and the province's instructions on Covid-19 prevention and control.

Along with that is promoting the role, the "eyes and ears" of the people in monitoring organizations and individuals who have not strictly implemented the regulations to have written reports to competent authorities to intervene and resolve the issue, contributing with the whole country to repel the epidemic.

Along with that, the Fatherland Front at all levels also needs to focus on implementing well the 7 tasks set forth by the Standing Committee of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Nghe An province; focusing on propagating Party congresses at all levels in conjunction with the provincial patriotic emulation congresses, period 2015 - 2020 and major events of the country; the 130th birthday of President Ho Chi Minh; promoting and improving the quality of patriotic emulation movements, campaigns chaired by the Fatherland Front; participating in Party building, government building...

Along with that, it is necessary to mobilize people, especially the farming class, to boost production, increase the value of crops and livestock, both to ensure supply to the market, increase income and compensate for the decline in economic sectors due to the great impact of the Covid-19 epidemic.
