Over the past 5 years, the General Confederation has also coordinated with ministries and branches in building and perfecting the system of policies and laws, especially policies on employment, wages, vocational training, social insurance, health insurance, occupational safety and hygiene and other social policies directly related to the rights, obligations and legitimate interests of workers.

After 5 years, the number of employed workers increased by 26%, of which the number of workers with stable jobs and high income increased steadily every year; workers' living standards improved, the regional minimum wage increased by 1.3 times, the average income increased by 35%, contributing to improving the income and life of workers.

In 2020, due to the impact of the Covid-19 epidemic, production and business activities of enterprises were affected, many enterprises lacked jobs and 89 enterprises dissolved in the first 9 months of the year.

Faced with this reality, Nghe An has also proposed to the Government to continue to have policies to support workers and businesses affected by the Covid-19 epidemic. At the same time, support investment in infrastructure construction, call for investment attraction to create more jobs for workers, especially support the early construction of trade union institutions in Bac Vinh Industrial Park.
