Saving electricity and ensuring a safe and stable power supply.

(Baonghean) - To ensure a stable electricity supply for production, business, and essential household electricity needs of the people during the 2014 dry season, on May 16, 2014, the Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee issued Official Letter No. 3202/UBND-CN, requesting: Directors of provincial departments and agencies; Chairmen of People's Committees of districts, cities, and towns; Director of Nghe An Power Company; Directors of power plants; and heads of provincial agencies and units are responsible for continuing to direct and strictly implement Directive 08/CT-UBND dated March 1, 2011.

Accordingly,Department of Industry and TradeStrengthen inspection and supervision of the implementation of the electricity supply plan by Nghe An Power Company; water regulation for irrigation in the province; inspect, evaluate, and compile reports and plans on electricity usage of agencies and units using state budget funds, and key energy-consuming facilities throughout the province. Advise the Provincial People's Committee on timely handling of cases of non-implementation of electricity saving measures; urge investors of hydropower projects to expedite project completion.

Department of Agriculture and Rural Development:Directing units to plan for requesting electricity supply for pumping stations serving drought-relief irrigation, coordinating with Nghe An Power Company to supply electricity according to the list of priority customers approved by the Provincial People's Committee; Developing irrigation plans for agriculture, coordinating with hydropower plants in the area to regulate water appropriately, ensuring both electricity generation and sufficient water supply for irrigation.

Department of Finance:In coordination with the Department of Industry and Trade, inspect and monitor the implementation of cost-saving measures to approve the annual financial statements on cost-saving efforts of units under its management, in accordance with Joint Circular No. 111/2009/TTLT/BTC-BTC.

Department of Information and Communications, Provincial Radio and Television Station, Nghe An NewspaperTogether with the radio, television, and local broadcasting systems, strengthen propaganda and mobilization efforts to help organizations and the public understand the importance of electricity saving, actively participate in the development of radio and television programs on electricity saving; allocate appropriate time to publicize the State's policies on implementing electricity saving solutions.

For agencies, offices, manufacturing businesses, and households: Implement the annual electricity saving plan of the agency or unit according to Circular 111/2009/TTLT/BCT-BCT of the Joint Ministry of Finance - Ministry of Industry and Trade on guiding electricity saving in state agencies and public service units…
