Revealing about 2 VTV Editors participating in Miss Vietnam 2018

Present at the Northern Preliminary Round of Miss Vietnam 2018, two girls from VTV attracted attention because of many coincidences. As colleagues, Phan Thi Thu Trang and Vu Thi Tuyet Trang are both former students of the Foreign Trade University.

It is not difficult to recognize Vu Thi Tuyet Trang who was in the top 15 of the Miss Universe 2017 contest. Coming to Miss Vietnam, Tuyet Trang set a goal of reaching the Finals. “I registered for Miss Vietnam 2016, but before the preliminary round, I received a scholarship to study abroad in Colombia. Therefore, I wrote a letter to the Organizing Committee to apologize for not being able to participate in the preliminary round. This year, I continue to register to compete to fulfill my unfinished dream,” Tuyet Trang explained.

Tuyet Trang said that she is currently an editor of the English department - VTV 4, Vietnam Television.

“After studying abroad in Colombia, I taught at several English centers. Then, Vietnam Television opened a recruitment campaign for editors and I was lucky enough to be accepted,” Tuyet Trang shared.

Talking about her work at VTV, Tuyet Trang is quite excited and passionate. The girl born in 1994 confided that although the job of an editor is time-pressured, she finds it very interesting. “Every day is different for me. Today is not like yesterday and the next day cannot be planned in advance. An editor has to do many things such as pre-production, post-production and editing… but I find it very interesting” - Tuyet Trang said.

Tuyet Trang revealed that the agency is very supportive of her participation in the Miss Vietnam 2018 contest. “Coming to Miss Vietnam 2018, I hope to improve myself more. I am ready to embark on the contest journey” - Tuyet Trang expressed.

With the same name Trang, Phan Thi Thu Trang was surprised to meet an "acquaintance" in the VTV house at the Northern Preliminary Round of Miss Vietnam 2018.

“Participating in the Preliminary Round today with me is Tuyet Trang, who also works at the Television Station. I knew Tuyet Trang before she participated in Miss Universe 2017. Tuyet Trang is a capable person with good foreign language skills, but unfortunately, in the Final Night, Tuyet Trang stumbled twice, so the result may not be as expected,” Thu Trang confided.

In addition to the story of Tuyet Trang, Thu Trang said that this was the first time she participated in a beauty contest. “I think it’s a bit late to participate in a beauty contest or beauty pageant (Thu Trang was born in 1993 - pv) at this time, but if I don’t register for the contest, I might regret it more. This is also an opportunity for me to challenge myself a bit” - Thu Trang confided.

The VTV 24 News Center editor added that the reason she registered for the Miss Vietnam contest was because she was especially impressed with the Beauty with a Purpose contest. “I really like social activities and volunteer work, while the Miss Vietnam contest gives contestants the opportunity to experience it very early. That is one of the reasons I chose Miss Vietnam as the first beauty contest to participate in,” Thu Trang said.

Finally, Thu Trang expressed her desire to hold Tuyet Trang's hand to go to the next round. Although her demeanor was not as confident as Tuyet Trang's, Thu Trang affirmed that she was mentally prepared and quite comfortable participating in the Northern Preliminary Round of Miss Vietnam 2018.
