On March 21, 2024, immediately after the closing of the 6th Extraordinary Session of the 15th National Assembly, based on the Constitution of the Socialist Republic of Vietnam and relevant legal provisions, the Standing Committee of the National Assembly issued Notice No. 765/TB-UBTVQH15 on the exercise of the powers of the President of the Socialist Republic of Vietnam. Accordingly, Comrade Vo Thi Anh Xuan - Vice President of the State holds the powers of the President of the Socialist Republic of Vietnam from March 21, 2024 until the National Assembly elects a new President.
