Looking for relatives of abandoned newborn baby girl next to Thom bridge near Hoang Mai Cement Factory

A newborn baby girl was found abandoned in a Styrofoam box by locals next to Thom Bridge near Hoang Mai Cement Factory, Village 9, former Quynh Vinh Commune, now Hoang Mai Ward, Nghe An Province. Local authorities are issuing a notice to search for the baby's relatives.

According to the People's Committee of Hoang Mai Ward, at around 7:30 p.m. on July 26, Mr. Tran Duc Cuong was driving a motorbike carrying his son on National Highway 48D to Nghia Dan. When approaching Thom Bridge in Hamlet 9, the old Quynh Vinh Commune, now Hoang Mai Ward, Nghe An Province, he discovered a newborn baby girl in a white Styrofoam box placed on the edge of the road and wrapped in a thin blanket, next to it was Some milk cartons. There was also a piece of squared paper with the words: “I am unable to raise my child. If anyone finds my child, please adopt him. Date of birth: July 24, 2025. Thank you. I am sorry.”

Immediately after that, Mr. Tran Duc Cuong reported to the authorities. At the same time, he took the child to the old Quynh Vinh Commune Health Station, Hoang Mai Ward for monitoring and care. After receiving information from Mr. Tran Duc Cuong, Hoang Mai Ward Police, Nghe An Province made a record according to regulations.

The People's Committee of Hoang Mai Ward has posted a notice to find relatives at the ward headquarters for 7 days as prescribed. If the posting period expires and no one comes to claim the child, the unit taking care of the child will carry out birth registration procedures as prescribed.

The local authorities call on any parent or relative of the child to contact the People's Committee of Hoang Mai Ward, Nghe An Province for guidance on how to resolve the matter in accordance with legal regulations. After the above deadline, the ward will carry out relevant legal procedures in accordance with current regulations.
