"We can confirm that an investigation has begun," the publication quoted a representative of the British Ministry of Defense.
According to the Daily Star, one of the experts in the intelligence field called the documents found "a terrorist's dream".
The military research complex "Porton Down", officially known as the Defence Science and Technology Laboratory.
The laboratory began operations more than a century ago, initially developing and testing chemical weapons during World War I. It later carried out research on biological weapons.
Almost all of Porton Down's activities remain secret. However, it is known that experiments involving human subjects were carried out there between 1949 and 1989, and in 2008 the British Ministry of Defence paid £3 million to 360 veterans who suffered as a result of these experiments.
