Two more crew bodies and black box of CASA 212 plane found
This afternoon (June 27), search forces discovered and recovered the black box of the CASA 212 plane and the two bodies of the flight crew.
According to the latest information, at 6:00 p.m. this afternoon (June 27), Senior Lieutenant General Vo Van Tuan - Deputy Chief of the General Staff of the Vietnam People's Army confirmed that this afternoon, the search force discovered and recovered the black box of the CASA 212 plane with registration number 8983.
Along with that, search forces also found two more bodies of CASA 212 crew members.

Previously, according to information from the Field Command Center directly commanded by the Deputy Chief of the General Staff of the Vietnam People's Army, Vice Admiral Pham Ngoc Minh, at about 12 noon on June 27, in the waters of Bach Long Vi (Hai Phong City), the Tan Cang 63 ship of the Saigon New Port Corporation (Navy) found two more bodies.
Along with that is the voice recorder and the device recording the technical parameters of the plane (black box) of the CASA-212 plane with registration number 8983 located in the South Southeast position, 15 nautical miles from Bach Long Vi island, at a depth of about 50 - 60m.
Immediately afterwards, the black box was sealed and sent to the authorities to serve the investigation.
According to the Command, in the coming days, search and rescue forces will continue to race against time, overcome difficulties and make search and rescue efforts with the highest determination.
The events of the two plane crashes - On the morning of June 14, Su-30MK2 fighter jet number 8585 crashed in the eastern sea of Nghe An, near Mat Island while on a training flight. On board were Major Nguyen Huu Cuong and Senior Lieutenant Colonel Tran Quang Khai. A day later, Major Cuong was rescued by a fishing boat. - On June 16, CASA 212 patrol boat number 8983 lost contact in the Bach Long Vi sea area while on a mission to search for the pilot of the Su-30MK2 flight. There were 9 soldiers on board. - On June 17, the body of pilot Tran Quang Khai was found. - June 16-17: 42 ships of Vietnamese forces and hundreds of fishing boats participated in the search for the CASA plane. The Ministry of National Defense mobilized the most modern equipment. - June 20: Detected an object measuring 13x4 m in the search area of the CASA plane, depth of 60 m. - June 21: Airbus Group, Spain offered to cooperate and help decode the black box of the CASA plane, to find the cause of the accident. - June 22: 15 Chinese ships coordinated a search with Vietnam east of the demarcation line of the Gulf of Tonkin. - June 23: Found wreckage of Su 30MK2 aircraft and engine of CASA aircraft number 8983 along with many bodies of crew members. |
