The Fire Prevention and Rescue Police Department directed the River Fire Prevention and Rescue Police Team to mobilize forces and equipment to quickly arrive at the scene and coordinate the search for the victim.
The deceased has been identified as PVS (born in 1995), originally from Yen Thanh district (Nghe An province). Before committing suicide, S. left his motorbike and personal documents on the bridge.
After more than a day of coordinated searching, at 1 PM on May 8th, the body of Mr. S. was found floating near the shipyard, about 3km from Ben Thuy Bridge; rescue forces recovered the body and handed it over to his family.
