Flash flood and landslide warnings due to heavy rains from Ha Tinh to Quang Ngai
In the past 24 hours, from 10:00 a.m. on November 2 to 10:00 a.m. on November 3, provinces from Ha Tinh to Quang Ngai experienced moderate to very heavy rain. In the next 6 hours, there is a high risk of flash floods on small rivers and streams, and landslides on steep slopes in many communes and wards.
In the past 24 hours, from 10:00 a.m. on November 2 to 10:00 a.m. on November 3, provinces from Ha Tinh to Quang Ngai had moderate to very heavy rain.
Some places recorded exceptionally heavy rainfall such as Ban Nuoc (Ha Tinh) 379.6mm, La To hydroelectric dam (Quang Tri) 299.4mm, Huong Son (Hue city) 502.8mm, Ba Na (Da Nang) 514.2mm, and Tra Thanh (Quang Ngai) 145.2mm.
According to soil moisture models, many areas in these provinces have reached or are close to reaching saturation levels above 85%.
In the next 3 to 6 hours, the above area will continue to have rain with common rainfall from 20-50mm in Ha Tinh and Quang Tri, some places over 90mm; Hue city and Da Nang have rainfall of 60-100mm, some places may over 200mm; Quang Ngai rain 5-10mm, some places over 30mm.
