(Baonghean.vn) - The latest news on Typhoon No. 2.

According to information from the North Central Vietnam Meteorological and Hydrological Station, on the afternoon of July 10th, after entering the sea area east of the Leizhou Peninsula (China), the tropical depression weakened into a low-pressure area.

At 13:00 on the 10th7The center of the low-pressure area is located at approximately 21.1 degrees North latitude and 111.0 degrees East longitude. The strongest wind speed at the center of the low-pressure area has decreased to below level 6 (i.e., below 40 km per hour).

Forecast for the next 12 hoursThe low-pressure area moved rapidly southwest, weakened, and gradually dissipated.

Due to the influence of the low-pressure system, the eastern part of the Gulf of Tonkin will experience showers and thunderstorms, with the possibility of tornadoes and strong gusts of wind during the thunderstorms.

Furthermore, due to the strong southwest monsoon in the South, the sea area from Binh Thuan to Ca Mau and the southern South China Sea (including the sea area around the Spratly Islands) will experience strong winds of level 6, gusting to levels 7-9, and heavy thunderstorms. Sea waves will be 2-4 meters high; the sea will be rough. Tornadoes are possible during thunderstorms. Level of natural disaster risk: level 1.

The situation at sea remains critical, and further monitoring of marine weather forecasts and warnings is necessary.

This is the final update regarding Typhoon No. 2 (LINFA).
