Good news from technological innovation in industrial clusters
(Baonghean) - Small industrial clusters (ICs) are playing a very important role in economic restructuring and job creation in localities. Faced with the current situation of environmental pollution caused by outdated technology, ICs in Vinh City, Dien Chau District, Tan Ky District... have solutions to innovate technology.
Namsung Vina Garment Factory in Thap - Hong - Ky Industrial Park (Dien Chau) is a fairly large factory, invested with 100% capital from Korean investors, creating jobs for 1,800 workers with a salary of 3.5 - 4.5 million VND/month. Goods here are mainly exported to Europe. In May 2015, the Company invested 92,000 USD (equivalent to nearly 2 billion VND) to install a Korean technology waste treatment system. It is an advanced technology waste incinerator with a high chimney, limiting environmental pollution.

At Nghia Hoan Industrial Park (Tan Ky), investment in innovation in brick and tile production technology has also been of interest to the locality, cooperatives and households. The Cua tile production and service cooperative has invested in a high-tech tile blank supply line with a capacity of 40 million pieces/year, opening up a new development direction for the craft village associated with advanced technology, reducing labor costs and increasing product value. This line is worth nearly 10 billion VND, contributed by 53 members, and through the use of technology has reduced material loss.

In Vinh City, facing the alarming reality that in 3 industrial parks that have filled up their areas (Nghi Phu, Hung Loc, Dong Vinh industrial parks), most of the production projects are small-scale, invested for a long time, so the technology and equipment are outdated, the product quality is not high, the production process causes environmental pollution...
The city has applied and issued support mechanisms and policies, creating favorable conditions for businesses to access loans for technological innovation, so currently many businesses in industrial parks in Vinh City have been implementing investment projects in an environmentally friendly direction, ensuring green - clean - beautiful.
Nghi Phu Industrial Park (Vinh City) currently has 21 enterprises investing in building factories and manufacturing and trading to fill an area of 9.3 hectares. The production industries are forest product processing, packaging production, fertilizer production, insulation foam, electrical equipment, rattan and bamboo weaving, gas filling, production of new generation electrolyzed water... in which many enterprises have invested in production since 2006, so the technology and production equipment are outdated.

Industrial production in a cleaner, more environmentally friendly direction is the goal pursued by many businesses, in order to ensure economic efficiency and not affect the living environment. Localities need to have policies and mechanisms to encourage and support small and medium enterprises to innovate technology to ensure increased product value, meet competitive requirements, and protect the environment.
Nghe An currently has 32 industrial parks that have implemented investment and construction steps. Of which, 9 industrial parks have been filled, 7 industrial parks are implementing investment and have enterprises going into production and business, 8 industrial parks are implementing infrastructure investment, 8 industrial parks have established and approved detailed construction plans. The total number of projects attracting investment in industrial parks is 179, with a total investment of 2,038 billion VND. Particularly, 3 industrial parks in Vinh city attracted 39 projects with a total investment of more than 388 billion VND; creating jobs for 1,433 workers. |
