(Baonghean.vn) - Ky Son District Police have just issued a decision to prosecute the case and prosecute Lo Thi My (born 1990) and Lo Bun Ma (born 1988), both residing in Huu Lap Commune, Ky Son District, for the crime of Human Trafficking.

Previously, in early October 2023, Ky Son District Police received a complaint from Ms. VHY (born in 1989), residing in Cha Lan village, Huu Lap commune, Ky Son district, about Ms. Y. being tricked and sold to China by Lo Thi My and Lo Bun Ma.

Immediately after receiving the information, Ky Son District Police stepped in to verify, fight, and clarify. After collecting all the documents and evidence, Ky Son District Police arrested Lo Thi My and Lo Bun Ma for human trafficking.

According to the investigation, around June 2014, Lo Thi My (who was married and living in China at the time) called Lo Bun Ma and said that if she found someone to marry in China, she would share the "commission". Lo Bun Ma agreed.

Taking advantage of Ms. VHY's difficult situation and need for money to pay off debt, Lo Bun Ma approached and enticed Y. to go to China to "do light work with high salary". To make Ms. VHY trust him more, Lo Bun Ma also assured that if she agreed, she would have money to pay off the debt and that Ma himself would "accompany" Y. during the process of going to China.

After Ms. VHY agreed, Lo Bun Ma took a bus to Mong Cai city, Quang Ninh province, and the two of them illegally crossed the border to China. There, they were picked up by Lo Thi My and her husband and taken home. More than a week later, Lo Thi My and her husband sold Ms. Y. to a Chinese man for 200 million VND. Lo Bun Ma received more than 5 million VND from My and her husband.

Currently, Ky Son District Police have initiated a criminal case and prosecuted Lo Thi My and Lo Bun Ma for human trafficking; ordered Lo Bun Ma to be temporarily detained for 4 months; and applied a measure prohibiting Lo Thi My from leaving her place of residence.
