Through the floor score announced by the Ministry of Education and Training, universities and colleges will build standard scores to carry out enrollment work.

On the morning of July 12, the Ministry of Education and Training officially announced the university floor scores for 2017. The Ministry of Education and Training's floor score council has just met and analyzed the total quota and the results of the National High School Exam to come up with the university floor score threshold for 2017.

Accordingly, the minimum score is 15.5 for all levels. This year, there is no minimum score for the college system. According to Deputy Minister of Education and Training Bui Van Ga, to get this score, the first issue the Ministry sets is the quality criteria, then it depends on the quota and maximum training capacity of each school and the number of candidates applying for university admission this year.

Deputy Minister Bui Van Ga said that all schools are determined to choose this exam score to improve the quality of training. According to the Ministry of Education and Training, based on the exam results of candidates and the enrollment quota of each exam group, the Ministry determines and announces the floor score for each exam group. The floor score is not multiplied by a coefficient. The admission scores of schools must not be lower than the floor score.

Therefore, candidates with exam results lower than the minimum score will not be admitted to schools using the common exam results of the Ministry of Education and Training.
