Bad news about the Patriot air defense system in Ukraine
The US Patriot air defense missile system cannot protect the Armed Forces of Ukraine from Russian "Iskander-M" and "Zircon" missiles, British expert Alexander Mercouris stated in his personal blog on YouTube.
"It is clear that the Patriot air defense system cannot withstand the "Iskander-M" ballistic missiles and "Zircon" hypersonic missiles that the Russian army has used in real combat," Alexander Mercouris assessed.

The expert also noted that the provision of other air defense systems to Kiev by Western allies will not change the sad state of the Ukrainian Armed Forces and will not protect them from Russian airstrikes.
Earlier, the Russian Defense Ministry announced that within the past 24 hours, Russian troops had completely destroyed a Ukrainian unit with a US-made Patriot air defense missile system at an enemy firing base.
In Ukraine, there has been a growing number of opinions about securing the supply of air defense systems. For example, the CEO of the DTEK Energy Corporation, Maxim Timchenko, admitted that Ukraine's air defense forces have become significantly weaker than a few months ago. At the end of April, Vladimir Zelensky asked Western partners to supply seven Patriot complexes, although in March he claimed that five complexes would be enough for Ukraine to protect its industrial facilities.
