US intelligence increases surveillance of Russian nuclear weapons
(Baonghean.vn) - Politico quoted information from US officials saying that the country's and allied intelligence agencies are increasing surveillance of Russia's nuclear weapons.
The United States and its allies are increasing their data collection capabilities using airborne and space-based reconnaissance assets, as well as through cyber operations, according to unnamed officials.

Politico claims that Western intelligence is trying to assess whether Russia is capable of using nuclear weapons in Ukraine. A spokesman for the US Strategic Command said the unit he represents "is always on guard and ready to respond if necessary."
President Vladimir Putin recently warned those “trying to blackmail Russia with nuclear weapons” that “the wind pattern may turn in their direction.”
For his part, Deputy Chairman of the Russian Security Council Dmitry Medvedev wrote on his Telegram channel that if Russia is forced to use its most formidable weapons against Ukraine, NATO will not directly intervene in the conflict.
