(Baonghean.vn) - Since the beginning of the Covid-19 epidemic, Nghe An has received more than 6,800 people to be quarantined for 14 days; more than half of them have completed the quarantine period.

Speaking to Nghe An Newspaper reporters, Colonel Nguyen Ngoc Ha - Member of the Provincial Party Committee, Commander of the Provincial Military Command said that as of the evening of April 11, Nghe An had received 6,863 people to be quarantined at 28 locations. Most of these citizens were workers returning from Laos and Thailand to avoid the Covid-19 epidemic.

Of these, 3,572 have completed their quarantine period, received certificates, and been returned to their localities. Currently, more than 3,200 people are still being quarantined in Nghe An. All of these people will be tested for Covid-19 before being returned to their localities.

According to Colonel Nguyen Ngoc Ha, on April 11 alone, more than 500 people were awarded certificates of completion of their quarantine period. Meanwhile, in recent days, the number of new arrivals has been scattered, with some days even not receiving any new cases.

Specifically, on the afternoon of April 11, the Steering Committee for Covid-19 Prevention and Control of Thai Hoa town held a handover ceremony for citizens who had completed their centralized quarantine period at Facility 2 of Nghe An Technical Economic College.On this occasion, 125 citizens were awarded certificates of completion of quarantine. These are citizens from many districts and towns of Nghe An, returning from Laos and being taken to the centralized quarantine area of ​​Thai Hoa Town since March 28.

After 14 days, all test samples of these citizens tested negative for SARS-CoV-2.Moved by the care and concern of the forces on duty in the quarantine area, citizens donated more than 13 million VND to the Thai Hoa town's epidemic prevention and control steering committee.

Meanwhile, at the Quynh Luu District Political Center, authorities also handed over 123 citizens who completed their quarantine period to their localities. These areVietnamese citizens returning from Laos and Thailand. Here, they are given health checks and guaranteed accommodation and living conditions.

During the quarantine period, 100% of citizens complied with the regulations on epidemic prevention and control. Through management and monitoring, after the quarantine period, citizens were in normal health, had no symptoms of cough or fever, and were tested and screened for Covid-19 with negative results. Citizens who completed the quarantine period were supported by the authorities with transportation to return home.
