Next, the delegation offered incense and flowers at Truong Bon National Historical Site in My Son Commune, Do Luong District.

Truong Bon is a vital traffic location, located on Highway 15A, becoming a fierce bombardment point in the US imperialists' plan to bombard the North.

To ensure the route was open and support the southern battlefield, the Youth Volunteer Force squads "braved the rain of bombs and bullets" to dig holes and fill them in, wearing white checkered shirts to act as markers for support vehicles to pass.

Having failed on the battlefields, the US imperialists were forced to stop bombing the North from November 1, 1968. However, on the night of October 31, 1968, 13 Youth Volunteers (11 women, 2 men) from Squad 2 of Company 317, Team 6, Nghe An Youth Volunteers against the US fell in the enemy's last fierce bombing at Truong Bon.
