(Baonghean.vn) - Nghe An Provincial Youth Union is one of eight units honored to be awarded the Third Class Labor Medal by the President for their outstanding achievements in the Summer Youth Volunteer Campaign, contributing to the cause of building socialism and defending the Fatherland.
On the evening of August 17, in Ho Chi Minh City, the Central Committee of the Ho Chi Minh Communist Youth Union organized a program to celebrate the 20th anniversary of the Summer Youth Volunteer Campaign (2000 - 2019) and summarize the 2019 Summer Youth Volunteer Campaign.
Attending the ceremony were comrades: Vo Van Thuong - Politburo member, Secretary of the Party Central Committee, Head of the Central Propaganda Department; Truong Hoa Binh - Politburo member, Permanent Deputy Prime Minister and Vice President Dang Thi Ngoc Thinh.

Speaking at the ceremony, on behalf of the Party and State leaders, comrade Truong Hoa Binh acknowledged and praised the great contributions of the youth of the whole country in the Summer Youth Volunteer Campaign over the past 20 years. Comrade Truong Hoa Binh emphasized that the Youth Union needs to identify the Summer Youth Volunteer Campaign as an important political activity to consolidate the organization, strengthen the apparatus, improve management capacity, and be an opportunity to improve the quality of union members and develop the force. At the same time, Party committees at all levels, authorities, the Fatherland Front, and unions continue to thoroughly grasp, lead, direct, and organize the implementation of the Party's viewpoints and policies on youth work. Each level and each sector must create favorable conditions and coordinate with the Youth Union and Association to widely develop revolutionary action movements for young people, especially the Summer Youth Volunteer Campaign in the coming years.

The Deputy Prime Minister suggested that in the coming time, the Youth Union and Association at all levels continue to innovate the content, methods of organizing, directing and implementing the Summer Youth Volunteer Campaign, promoting the participation of a large number of young people in society; it is necessary to make the Summer Youth Volunteer Campaign an attractive, meaningful, indispensable destination and an important occasion for the majority of union members, students and pupils to experience, practice, contribute and mature every summer.

Affirming the important role and significance of the Summer Youth Volunteer Campaign, speaking at the celebration ceremony, First Secretary of the Central Youth Union Le Quoc Phong advised young people to continue participating in volunteer programs. Thereby, continuing to learn, contribute and create spiritual motivation to urge young people to be more successful in life.
