(Baonghean.vn) - In order to promote the role of the Youth Union in participating in the development of policies, laws related to youth and youth work, on September 28, the Provincial Youth Union Standing Committee held a Conference to collect opinions on the amendment of the Youth Law.

At the Conference, there were 18 comments on the amendment of the Youth Law, focusing on the following contents: Rights and obligations of youth; responsibilities of youth in protecting the Fatherland, protecting health, in state and social management; responsibilities of the State towards youth, policies for specific youth, responsibilities of the Youth Union, etc.

In addition, delegates expressed the view that the revised Youth Law needs to stipulate more clearly the protection of youth from social evils, coordination between sectors and units regarding responsibilities towards youth; regulations on age, gender, legal policies towards youth; clarify the scope of regulation of the Youth Law, responsibilities of the State, family, school, economic and social organizations towards youth...

Concluding the conference, Comrade Nguyen Thi Thom - Standing Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Youth Union acknowledged and thanked the delegates for their comments and at the same time requested that after this conference, delegates raise awareness, responsibility and create consensus among Youth Union chapters at all levels, Youth Union officials, Youth Union members and youth for the amendment of the Youth Law.
