Neighborhood ties are broken because of parking in the wrong place.
Just because of a car blocking the entrance, two families got into a fight. The young man who stabbed his neighbor is now serving a prison sentence.
On December 5, the Ho Chi Minh City People's Court opened an appeal trial and sentenced defendant Tran Phuoc Truong (21 years old; from Tien Giang) to 2 years in prison for the crime of "Intentionally causing injury".
Previously, the People's Court of Thu Duc District (HCMC) sentenced defendant Tran Phuoc Truong to the above sentence, forcing him to compensate the victim 39 million VND. Disagreeing with this sentence, the victim filed an appeal requesting the court to change the sentence to a higher level for defendant Truong, and to reconsider the compensation level.
At the appeal hearing, the panel of judges found that the first instance court had considered the right person and the right crime. Therefore, the panel of judges only accepted part of the victim’s appeal, increasing the amount of money the defendant had to pay in compensation to more than 80 million VND.

According to the first instance verdict, at around 9:00 p.m. on November 12, 2015, Mr. Pham Anh Toan was returning home from work on Road 2 (Hiep Binh Phuoc Ward, Thu Duc District). When he arrived, he saw a machine belonging to Mrs. Tran Thi Ven (a neighbor) blocking the entrance to his house. He immediately called Mrs. Ven out to talk.
After that, Toan and Nguyen Thanh Chung (Mrs. Ven's son) got into an argument. Chung hit Toan in the face and was stopped by everyone. When Toan entered the house, Mrs. Ven was afraid that a fight would break out between the two sides, so she temporarily locked the neighbor's gate.
A moment later, Toan opened the gate to go out but was unsuccessful. He climbed over the fence to go out and met Chung, Tran Phuoc Truong, Nguyen Van Giang (2 nephews of Mrs. Ven) and some other people standing nearby, so they argued. Chung's group beat Toan, forcing him to throw bricks in return.
During the fight, Truong ran into the kitchen to get a knife, Giang took a pair of scissors as a weapon. When Toan ran away, Truong ran after him and stabbed him many times, causing him to be disabled; the rate is 6%.
