Nghe An Province launched the "Tree Planting Festival to forever remember Uncle Ho" Spring At Ty 2025

Before the launching ceremony, on the occasion of the 95th anniversary of the founding of the Communist Party of Vietnam (February 3, 1930 - February 3, 2025), the delegation of the Provincial Party Committee - People's Council - People's Committee - Provincial Fatherland Front Committee respectfully offered flowers and incense to express their infinite gratitude for the great contributions of the heroic martyrs who sacrificed their lives in the demonstration on September 12, 1930.

The Nghe Tinh Soviet 1930 - 1931 was a brilliant milestone in the history of the Vietnamese revolution in the early 20th century under the leadership of the Party, becoming a symbol of heroism and indomitable loyalty of the people of Nghe An.

The Nghe Tinh Soviet flame has become a sacred flame, illuminating and encouraging our Party and people to overcome all hardships and challenges, fight for power and maintain national independence, and build an increasingly civilized, prosperous and beautiful country, following the socialist orientation.

The Party Committee, government and people of Nghe An province and the whole country will forever remember, respect and be grateful for the great sacrifices of the heroic martyrs in the struggle on September 12, 1930 and the martyrs who sacrificed in the cause of fighting for national independence, building and defending the Fatherland...

Next, at Xo Viet Nghe Tinh Square (Hung Nguyen district), Nghe An province held a launching ceremony for "Tree planting festival to forever remember Uncle Ho" Spring At Ty 2025.

66 years ago, at the launching ceremony of the first "Tree Planting Festival" in 1959, beloved Uncle Ho advised: "Spring is the Tree Planting Festival, making the country more and more Springy".

Imbued with that ideology, the tree planting and forest planting movement has become a traditional cultural beauty of the Vietnamese people, maintained and strongly promoted in Nghe An homeland.

With the efforts of all levels, sectors and people in the province, the area of ​​planted forests is increasingly expanding, the quality of forests is improved. Natural forests in the whole province are better managed and protected; the area, productivity and quality of planted forests are increasing rapidly, the forest cover of the province is maintained at a stable level of over 58%, contributing significantly to protecting the ecological environment and minimizing the damage caused by natural disasters.

The tree planting and forestation movement and the policy of paying for forest environmental services have created jobs, increased income, and stabilized the lives of tens of thousands of households in remote, isolated, and disadvantaged areas.

The lives of forest workers are increasingly improving, many households have become rich from developing the forest economy, contributing to the rapid implementation of the policy of hunger eradication, poverty reduction and maintaining security and national defense in the province.

Delivering a speech at the ceremony, Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Nguyen Van De emphasized that in the context of global climate change causing great challenges, natural disasters, storms and floods occurring more frequently, tree planting and afforestation not only have environmental significance but also are strategic tasks for the sustainable development of the province and the country.

Planting more trees is an effective solution to prevent erosion, protect water resources, create stable livelihoods for people and help reduce the negative impacts of climate change. For cities and industrial centers, planting more trees also helps limit environmental pollution and keep the air clean.

Responding to the call of the Party, State and the direction of the Provincial Party Committee and Provincial People's Committee, Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Nguyen Van De requested all levels, sectors and localities to focus on propagating and raising public awareness about the role and significance of tree planting and afforestation for life, economy, society and environment.

At the same time, launch the movement "Each person plants a tree, each family plants a small forest" to spread the spirit of strong response from all classes of people. Promote the role of youth, students, and armed forces in tree planting and forest protection activities.

In the task of improving the quality and managing crops well, localities and units prepare quality seedlings, ensure materials, human resources, and funding to well organize the implementation of the "Tree Planting Festival to forever remember Uncle Ho" in the Spring of At Ty 2025 according to the directed plan.

After planting, care and protection must be organized so that the trees and planted forests can grow well; avoid the situation where trees are planted but the effectiveness cannot be maintained. Prioritize the development of large timber forest models, intensive forests, and coastal protection forests to ensure both economic and ecological goals.

Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Nguyen Van De suggested promoting the application of science and technology in forestry production. Developing high-quality, intensive forest plantation material areas associated with granting certificates of sustainable forest management and forest product processing industry.

Strengthen the implementation of the policy of payment for forest environmental services, creating more stable income for people who depend on forests, especially those in remote and border areas.

Call for the cooperation of businesses, organizations and individuals to participate in supporting funding, seedlings and materials for forest planting activities. Strengthen cooperation with international organizations to mobilize resources to support sustainable development of the forestry sector.

Strengthen inspection, supervision, and strict handling of forest encroachment and illegal logging. Organize specialized forest fire prevention and fighting forces, ready to respond to emergency situations.

Make detailed plans and prepare well the conditions to ensure the completion of the forestry development plan for 2025: Protect well 961,000 hectares of existing forests; regenerate 76,000 hectares; care for 54,000 hectares of forests; plant 20,000 hectares of new forests.

Implement sustainable forest management and strive to increase the area of ​​planted forests certified for sustainable forest management to serve the wood processing industry.

Launching the ceremony, comrade Vo Thi Minh Sinh - Chairman of the Provincial Fatherland Front Committee, Head of the Provincial National Assembly Delegation called on sectors, levels, organizations, schools, armed forces and people of all walks of life to actively respond to the "Tet tree planting festival to forever remember Uncle Ho" Spring At Ty 2025 so that trees can sprout and grow green forever everywhere.

After the ceremony, leaders of Nghe An province, Military Region 4, departments, branches, organizations and localities planted trees at Soviet Nghe Tinh Square, starting the tree planting and forestation movement of Nghe An province in 2025.
