Nghe An province will cooperate with FPT Corporation in digital transformation and education

On the afternoon of August 21, Nghe An Provincial People's Committee had a working session with FPT Group leaders to discuss cooperation in digital transformation and education.

Attending the meeting, on behalf of Nghe An province, there were comrades: Nguyen Duc Trung - Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee; Bui Dinh Long - Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee; leaders of relevant departments, branches and sectors. On behalf of FPT Group, there were Mr. Nguyen Van Khoa - General Director of the Group; and leaders and officers of the Group.

PROPOSAL TO BUILD FPT EDUCATION COMPLEX IN NGHE AN

At the meeting, Mr. Nguyen Van Khoa - General Director of FPT Corporation shared trends, orientations of digital transformation, and the contents of his desire to cooperate with Nghe An province in education and digital transformation for outstanding and breakthrough development in the coming time.

Accordingly, FPT Corporation proposed to cooperate with Nghe An province on digital transformation in 8 main contents. FPT will accompany and advise on strategies and comprehensive digital transformation plans; cooperate in building and developing telecommunications and information technology infrastructure; cooperate in building and developing digital transformation platforms; coordinate and support the organization of communication for digital transformation events for businesses and households.

In addition, FPT proposed to cooperate with Nghe An province in consulting and supporting Make in Vietnam digital transformation platforms; supporting and deploying services, information systems, and information security to achieve national goals on digital transformation; coordinating training and transferring digital transformation knowledge to union members and youth; Cooperating in developing human resources for officials, civil servants, people and businesses in Nghe An province.

In the field of education, FPT Corporation proposed to invest in building an FPT education complex with an area of ​​8-15 hectares and apply preferential policies for education.

In particular, FPT proposed to build a high-quality FPT Inter-level School in Nghe An, expected to have 3 levels of students: Primary, Secondary and High School, built on a land area of ​​1-3 hectares and an FPT Polytechnic College with 3 main products: Regular College, High School and International Joint College.

At the meeting, leaders of departments, agencies and sectors discussed and gave their opinions on the cooperation proposals of FPT Corporation in the fields of digital transformation and education. The departments, agencies and sectors all agreed and supported the cooperation proposals.

AGREE ON POLICY AND COOPERATE IMPLEMENTATION

Concluding the meeting, Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Nguyen Duc Trung thanked FPT Corporation for its cooperation proposals; and congratulated the results that FPT Corporation has achieved over 35 years of establishment and development with many admirable results.

Emphasizing that Nghe An is a province with a large area, large population, and great position, but still facing many difficulties, comrade Nguyen Duc Trung said that in recent years, Nghe An has had very positive changes in economic scale, growth rate, especially in attracting FDI capital.

Attracting investment must be associated with the important factor of resources. Currently, Nghe An has about 1.6 million people of working age. However, the quantity and quality of labor resources meeting the requirements of investors coming to Nghe An is very difficult. Therefore, the cooperation proposals of FPT Group on education and training, especially improving the quantity and quality of human resources, are very important to Nghe An.

Recently, Nghe An has been issued Resolution No. 39 by the Politburo on building and developing Nghe An province until 2030, with a vision to 2045. This is an important political foundation, creating resources and motivation with specific mechanisms and policies for the province to have conditions for development in the coming time, soon achieving the goal of becoming a fairly developed province in the Northern region by 2025 and becoming a fairly developed province in the whole country by 2030.

In that spirit, the Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee said that the cooperation contents proposed by FPT Group coincide with the wishes and goals that Nghe An is setting. In particular, Resolution No. 39 of the Politburo sets the goal of Nghe An being the center of the North Central region in a number of fields, including education and training.

The head of the provincial People's Committee emphasized that he agreed with the policy and created favorable conditions for FPT Corporation to deploy and build the FPT education complex in Nghe An, in accordance with the province's development goals and the goals in Resolution No. 39 of the Politburo. From that perspective, FPT Corporation needs to coordinate with relevant departments and branches of Nghe An province to complete the procedures in accordance with regulations.

Regarding the proposals for digital transformation cooperation, Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Nguyen Duc Trung emphasized the spirit of support and said that it is necessary to approach with a fair principle, choosing the best technologies, suitable to the advantages of FPT Group and the actual situation of Nghe An province from the perspective of accompanying each other to implement the proposed contents, contributing to the development of both sides in the coming time.
