Nghe An province solemnly organized the 2025 Patriotic Emulation Congress and received a Certificate of Merit from the Prime Minister.

This is an event of important political and social significance, welcoming the success of Party Congresses at all levels, towards the 20th Nghe An Provincial Party Congress and the 14th National Party Congress.

The Central delegation included comrade Pham Huy Giang - Standing Member of the Central Emulation and Reward Council, Head of the Central Emulation and Reward Committee, attending and presiding over the Congress.

Delegates from Military Region 4 and provinces in the North Central Emulation Cluster included: Major General Hoang Duy Chien - Deputy Commander of the Military Region; Nguyen Dang Quang - Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Chairman of the People's Council of Quang Tri province; Tran Bao Ha - Member of the Provincial Party Committee Standing Committee, Vice Chairman of the People's Committee of Ha Tinh province and representatives of Thanh Hoa province.

The leaders of Nghe An province include comrades: Nguyen Duc Trung - Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee; Hoang Nghia Hieu - Standing Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Chairman of the Provincial People's Council; Le Hong Vinh - Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee, Chairman of the Provincial Emulation and Reward Council; Vo Thi Minh Sinh - Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Chairman of the Provincial Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee, Head of the Provincial National Assembly Delegation; leaders, former leaders of the province, Vietnamese Heroic Mothers; leaders of departments, branches, sectors and localities.

Creating new momentum towards 1,000 years of Nghe An name

Over the past 5 years, the patriotic emulation movement in the whole province has been launched and implemented comprehensively and widely in all areas of social life, with many innovations in both content and form, closely following the political tasks and practical situation of the province.

At the same time, the movement associated with promoting "Studying and following Ho Chi Minh's ideology, morality and lifestyle" has seen the emergence of many typical advanced examples, good people, good deeds, contributing to spreading good things in society; greatly contributing to the successful implementation of the goals and tasks of socio-economic development and ensuring national defense and security set forth by the 19th Provincial Party Congress.

In his opening speech, comrade Le Hong Vinh - Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee, Chairman of the Provincial Emulation and Reward Council emphasized: The Emulation Congress will commend and honor collectives and individuals with outstanding achievements that have been evaluated and recognized in the recent past.

At the same time, analyze and evaluate the advantages and some contents that have not been as expected; propose directions and tasks for emulation and reward work in the period of 2025 - 2030 to continue effectively implementing Directive No. 41-CT/TW of the Politburo on strengthening the Party's leadership in emulation and reward work in the new situation.

Thereby, it aims to create a strong driving force, bring Nghe An to develop rapidly and sustainably, successfully implement the targets and goals by 2030 set by the 20th Provincial Party Congress, create a new mark, a new impulse on the occasion of the 1,000th anniversary of Nghe An; contribute with the whole country to realize the aspiration of a strong and prosperous Vietnam by 2045 - right on the occasion of the 100th anniversary of the country's founding.

Evaluation of the patriotic emulation movement over the past 5 years shows that the whole province has had 51 mothers awarded the title "Heroic Vietnamese Mother"; 6 cases awarded the Resistance Order and Medal; 82 families of martyrs awarded the Independence Medal.

16 individuals were recognized as National Emulation Fighters; 3 individuals were recognized as Bravery Medals; 2 collectives were awarded the title of Hero of the People's Armed Forces; 1 collective and 1 individual were awarded the title of Labor Hero; 1,125 individuals were recognized as Provincial Emulation Fighters... Many collectives and individuals were commended by the Party, State, ministries, branches, and central and provincial organizations.

The congress heard 3 outstanding presentations in various fields. Representing the young generation, Nguyen The Quan - a former student of Phan Boi Chau High School for the Gifted shared his learning journey and aspirations. With his passion and constant efforts, he won the Gold Medal for the Vietnamese delegation at the 2025 International Physics Olympiad in France, having previously won the National First Prize and crowned the Asia-Pacific Physics Olympiad.

In the industrial sector, Mr. Teng Wei Hong - General Director of VSIP Nghe An Co., Ltd. said that from 2020 to now, the enterprise has attracted 35 investment projects with a total capital of about 3 billion USD, creating 50,000 more jobs. To date, 44 projects in VSIP Nghe An 1 Industrial Park have come into operation, employing 32,000 workers; at the same time, expressed a strong commitment to continue investing and accompanying the development of Nghe An.

In the agricultural sector, Mr. Tran Xuan Son - a good farmer and business owner in Nghia Hung commune shared his experience in overcoming difficulties and innovating to create many products that meet VietGAP and 3-star OCOP standards, creating jobs for local workers, actively participating in social security work, being commended and awarded as a good farmer and business owner at the provincial level for the period 2020 - 2025.

"The more difficult it is, the more we have to compete"

Speaking at the Congress, comrade Pham Huy Giang - Standing Member of the Central Emulation and Commendation Council, Head of the Central Emulation and Commendation Committee congratulated and commended the results and achievements in the emulation movement and commendation work of Nghe An province over the past 5 years.

Thoroughly grasping President Ho Chi Minh's thoughts on patriotic emulation and Directive No. 41 of the Politburo on continuing to innovate emulation and commendation work, the Head of the Central Emulation and Commendation Committee proposed: Party committees and authorities of Nghe An province continue to pay attention to leading, directing, and directing the emulation movement to resolve bottlenecks and bottlenecks, effectively implementing key tasks, breakthroughs, targets and tasks of the province for the period 2025 - 2030.

"Reward work needs to continue to be innovated, close to reality and based on the effectiveness and results of emulation movements, outstanding achievements, ensuring accuracy, timeliness, right person, right job, educational, exemplary and spreading in society", said comrade Pham Huy Giang.

Speaking at the Congress, Provincial Party Secretary Nguyen Duc Trung affirmed that the achievements of the patriotic emulation movement in recent times have great significance for the socio-economic development and maintenance of national defense and security of the province.

Through the Congress, the Provincial Party Secretary requested all levels, sectors, localities and units to continue promoting the achievements, organizing experience sharing so that the direction and implementation of the patriotic emulation movement can continue to develop extensively with many practical contents, associated with the political, economic and social tasks of each sector, locality and unit in the new situation.

At the same time, promote patriotism, the spirit of emulation in learning, working, and creativity, for the prosperity and civilization of the homeland and country, for the prosperity, happiness, and development of each individual and family in the community and society.

In the coming time, Provincial Party Secretary Nguyen Duc Trung proposed to continue to thoroughly grasp and seriously and effectively implement the Party's guidelines and policies and the State's laws on emulation and rewards.

Party committees, party organizations, heads of agencies, units and localities need to deeply imbue the spirit of "the more difficult it is, the more we must compete"; create strong changes in the awareness and actions of each level, each sector, each cadre, party member and people. Consider the effective, extensive and practical implementation of patriotic emulation movements and activities as an extremely important task and solution to effectively implement the Resolutions, guidelines and policies of the Party, State and province, in order to successfully implement the Resolutions of Party Congresses at all levels, term 2025 - 2030.

Organizing emulation movements must have a scientific plan, with specific goals and feasible solutions, aiming at achieving practical results, closely linked to the implementation of political tasks of the province, each locality, unit and enterprise; suitable to the capacity and strengths and promoting the highest spirit of self-awareness and efforts of each individual.

In addition, the organization and implementation of emulation movements need to be closely linked with summarizing, evaluating, drawing experiences, praising, and replicating advanced models, new, creative, and highly effective ways of doing things.

In an exciting atmosphere, full of confidence and determination to compete in patriotism, on behalf of the Provincial Party Committee - People's Council - People's Committee - Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of the province, comrade Le Hong Vinh - Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee, Chairman of the Provincial Emulation and Reward Council launched the emulation movement to successfully carry out political tasks in the period of 2025 - 2030 with the goal: By 2030, Nghe An will become a fairly developed province of the country, a national growth pole; the center of the North Central region...

To successfully achieve the above goal, the Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee emphasized 5 key tasks including: Focusing on implementing key and focal tasks; promoting emulation in economic development; promoting comprehensive emulation movements in cultural and social fields; emulating to build a strong political system, ensuring national defense and security; innovating and improving the effectiveness of emulation and reward work.

Affirming the determination to continue to develop the patriotic emulation movement of the province, creating a new impetus to contribute to building Nghe An province into a well-off province in the country as Uncle Ho always wished, the Chairman of the People's Committee called on all levels, sectors, compatriots, comrades, cadres, soldiers, business community, and entrepreneurs of the province to continue to promote the revolutionary tradition, arouse the will to be self-reliant and the aspiration to strive, compete to achieve more outstanding achievements, with the slogan of action "Solidarity, creativity, innovation, competition to build Nghe An to develop rapidly and sustainably", soon becoming a national growth pole; confidently entering the era of striving for rich, civilized and prosperous development of the nation with the whole country.

Immediately after the launch, comrade Vo Thi Minh Sinh - Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Chairman of the Provincial Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee, Head of the Provincial National Assembly Delegation spoke in response to the emulation movement, affirming: The Vietnam Fatherland Front and socio-political organizations at all levels in the province will continue to be the "nucleus" in propaganda work, mobilizing all classes of people to actively respond and effectively implement patriotic emulation movements in the period of 2025 - 2030 of Nghe An, with groups of contents launched by Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Le Hong Vinh.

On this occasion, the People and officials of Nghe An province were honored to receive a Certificate of Merit from the Prime Minister for their outstanding achievements in implementing the 500kV line 3 project, contributing to speeding up the completion of the 500kV line 3 from Quang Trach, Quang Binh (old) to Pho Noi (Hung Yen).
