Also on the night of September 30th, flood control forces in Luu Kien commune stayed up all night to urge 100 households to temporarily evacuate as flash floods swept through, causing landslides and mud to fall onto the roads. Mr. Vang Kien Cuong, Chairman of the People's Committee of Luu Kien commune, said: “100% of the personnel in the local 'four on-site' forces were mobilized. Everyone stayed up all night urging people to evacuate, transporting people's belongings out of their homes, and some even monitored the situation to develop timely response plans.
