Require officials and party members whose children have increased their scores to explain
VietNamNet's source said that the Standing Committee of the Ha Giang Provincial Party Committee has issued a document requesting officials and party members to explain the incident related to their children having their scores raised in the 2018 National High School Exam cheating scandal.

The Standing Committee of the Ha Giang Provincial Party Committee for the 2015-2020 term consists of 13 members, of which the Standing Committee is headed by Mr. Trieu Tai Vinh - Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee. Mr. Trieu Tai Vinh is also the parent of TTM - a candidate on the list of candidates whose scores were raised in the 2018 National High School Exam in Ha Giang.
Ha Giang Provincial Police have just issued a document requesting competent authorities to take appropriate measures depending on the nature and severity of the violations against parents whose children had their scores increased in the 2018 National High School Exam.

From a personal perspective, former Head of the Inspection Committee of Ha Giang Provincial Party Committee Le Quang Trieu frankly said that the negative exam score scandal in Ha Giang is "unprecedented".

In the list of candidates whose scores were increased, there was the son of the Deputy Director of the Ha Giang Department of Education and Training (who has been prosecuted) with a total score of over 28 points. After the assessment, this candidate's score was reduced by more than ten points.
Another candidate, the child of a leader of the Vi Xuyen Department of Education and Training, had his score raised by 8-9 points in the admission groups. The pre-announced test scores of this candidate were 20.15 - 22.85 points for each group, but after the assessment, his score was only 11.95 - 14.25 points.
The candidate is the niece of the wife of Mr. Vu Trong Luong - former Deputy Head of the Examination Department of the Ha Giang Department of Education and Training - who has been prosecuted. The candidate's parents are also officials in the education sector of Ha Giang province, and had the third highest score in the A group nationwide with 28.6 points, and the B group with 28.85 points, ranking among the top in the country for this admission group. However, after the assessment, the candidate's individual subject scores decreased by 2-3 points, and the total score of the A and B groups both decreased by 9-10 points.
Another candidate, the daughter of a deputy head of the National Assembly delegation of Ha Giang province, also had her score changed. The daughter of Mr. Trieu Tai Vinh - Secretary of the Ha Giang Provincial Party Committee, had a score of 26; when re-evaluated, it was reduced to more than 24 points.
The results of the investigation and assessment of exam papers in Ha Giang in 2018 showed that 330 exam papers of 114 candidates had lower scores than the previous assessment, including candidates with total scores when assessed 20 - 29.95 points lower.
