Organize free screening program "Heart for children"
Implementing the plan to screen for congenital heart disease for children in 2016, within the framework of the program "Heart for Children" organized by the Tam Long Viet Fund of Vietnam Television in coordination with the Military Telecommunications Group. From January 16 to 17, 2016, Viettel Nghe An organized a screening for congenital heart disease for children (under 16 years old) throughout the province.
1. Examination subjects:
Children under 16 years old, with one of the following symptoms:
Has been diagnosed/suspected of having congenital heart disease by doctors at medical facilities;
Often have recurring cough and wheezing;
Abnormal breathing (rapid breathing, chest indrawing when inhaling);
Children often have pneumonia and bronchitis;
The baby shows signs of slow feeding (lasting more than 30 minutes) or is unable to finish the feeding;
Rapid breathing, sweating, especially after feedings;
Children grow slowly, have pale skin, are cold, sweaty, and often get tired easily;
Lips, tongue, fingertips purple;
Shortness of breath on exertion.
2. Time:
-January 16, 2016 (7:30 am – 4:30 pm):
-Examination for children in the districts:Vinh City, Nghi Loc, Cua Lo Town, Dien Chau, Quynh Luu, Hoang Mai Town, Yen Thanh, Nghia Dan, Thai Hoa Town, Quy Hop, Quy Chau, Que Phong.
- January 17, 2016 (from 7:00 – 11:00):
Examination for children in the districts:Hung Nguyen, Nam Dan, Do Luong, Tan Ky, Anh Son, Con Cuong, Tuong Duong, Ky Son.
3. Location:
Nghe An Obstetrics and Pediatrics Hospital, No. 19, Ton That Tung Street, Vinh City, Nghe An.
Families with children suffering from any of the above symptoms will receive free medical examinations and can apply for assistance from the “Heart for Children” program.
