A few hours ago, the Miss Universe Vietnam fanpage added the Vietnamese name "Miss Universe Vietnam". CEO Bao Hoang announced that he will take action against individuals and organizations that violate copyright.

On February 25, Mr. Bao Hoang, CEO of Unicorp, spoke out about the copyright infringement of the Miss Universe Vietnam brand. Mr. Bao Hoang said that his company had stopped using the Miss Universe Vietnam brand. This was done with the purpose of absolutely respecting the brand ownership of Miss Universe and the new organization.

Mr. Bao Hoang also confirmed that Unicorp is holding the copyright of the Miss Universe Vietnam brand. He declared that he will take action if any other individual or organization uses the Miss Universe Vietnam brand.

“I affirm our ownership of the brand and the Miss Universe Vietnam contest. Therefore, I represent Unicorp - Unimedia to speak up if any individual or organization is or intends to use the name Miss Universe Vietnam, which is an unprofessional act. We will strongly condemn and take action to protect our brand,” he emphasized.

MC Quynh Nga is the National Director of Miss Universe Vietnam.

Mr. Bao Hoang's statement was made just hours after the Miss Universe Vietnam fanpage added "Miss Universe Vietnam" to its name.

For many years, Unicorp has held the copyright of the Miss Universe Vietnam contest and also the copyright of sending contestants to the Miss Universe contest. However, recently, due to not reaching a common agreement, Unicorp announced the end of its cooperation with the Miss Universe organization.

This means that Unicorp continues to hold the rights to use the brand and organize Miss Universe Vietnam, but cannot use the name Miss Universe Vietnam and does not have the right to send contestants to compete in Miss Universe as before.

The Miss Universe Vietnam brand and the right to send contestants to compete in Miss Universe will belong to another organization that has reached an agreement with Ms. Anne Jakapong Jakrajutatip.

On the morning of February 24, Thai billionaire Anne Jakapong Jakrajutatip announced that the copyright of Miss Universe Vietnam belongs to Elite Company. Model Lan Khue holds the position of CEO of Miss Universe Vietnam. MC Quynh Nga is the National Director of Miss Universe Vietnam. Thus, after 15 years, the Miss Universe Vietnam brand has been officially transferred to a new owner.
