Seminar to celebrate the 72nd anniversary of the People's Court tradition

((Baonghean.vn) - "Serving the public, following the law, being fair and impartial", with the motto "must be close to the people, understand the people, help the people, learn from the people" is the content of the Discussion on the 72nd Anniversary of the Traditional Day of the People's Court onmorning of 13/9.

Along with the People's Court system nationwide, the two-level People's Court of Nghe An province was established after President Ho Chi Minh issued Decree No. 13 on April 21, 1945 establishing the Court sector.

Throughout 72 years of construction and development, with the consistent theme of "Serving the public, following the law, being fair and impartial" and the motto of "Being close to the people, understanding the people, helping the people, learning from the people", the People's Courts at two provincial levels have constantly made efforts, overcome all difficulties and achieved many great results in performing the functions and tasks of the sector.

The emulation movements were actively and enthusiastically responded to by cadres and civil servants, having a strong influence both in breadth and depth in the units, especially implementing the campaign "Studying and following Ho Chi Minh's ideology, morality and style" according to Directive No. 05-CT/TW of the Politburo, with the motto "Must be close to the people, understand the people, help the people, learn from the people".

Every year, the People's Courts at two levels of Nghe An province have made good decisions on the execution of criminal sentences and the reduction of prison terms for prisoners with good reform records at reform camps in the area, ensuring accuracy and compliance with the law.

International cooperation is also of interest, especially the People's Court of Nghe An province signed a memorandum of understanding with the People's Court of Xieng Khouang province (Laos) on cooperation between the courts of the two provinces, contributing to increasing the special solidarity and friendship between Vietnam and Laos.

With the results achieved, Nghe An Provincial People's Court was honored to receive the First Class Labor Medal and Second Class Independence Medal from the Party and State. Many district-level People's Court units were awarded the Labor Medal, Certificate of Merit from the Government, and the flag of excellent emulation unit./.
