Receiving the delegation were Major General Nguyen Xuan Lam, Director of the Nghe An Provincial Police, and representatives from several functional departments.

Representatives from the Bishopric presented flowers to congratulate the officers and soldiers of the Nghe An Provincial Police.

On behalf of the Vinh Diocese and the Catholic faithful of Nghe An province, Bishop Nguyen Van Vien wished the Board of Directors of the Provincial Police and all officers and soldiers of the Nghe An Police a happy and healthy New Year.

On behalf of the Party Committee, the leadership of the Provincial Police, and all officers and soldiers of the Nghe An Provincial Police, Major General Nguyen Xuan Lam - Director of the Provincial Police - thanked Bishop Nguyen Van Vien and the dignitaries of the Vinh Diocese for visiting and extending New Year greetings to the officers and soldiers of the Nghe An Provincial Police; and at the same time acknowledged and appreciated the contributions of the Catholic community to the cause of building and protecting the Fatherland in general, and protecting national security and order in particular.
