Nghe An Court sentences virtual gangster Truong 'con' and his lover
(Baonghean.vn) - Truong "con" was once famous on social networks in many livestreams of online gangsters such as Huan Hoa Hong, Duong Minh Tuyen, Kha "banh"... specializing in talking about morality and advising juniors "not to get involved in drugs".
On August 24, the People's Court of Nghe An province opened a first-instance criminal trial against Nguyen Thi Phuong (born in 1974), residing in Quynh Hong commune, Quynh Luu district, Nghe An province, and Trinh Xuan Truong (nicknamed Truong "con", born in 1972), residing in Xuan Tan commune, Xuan Truong district (Nam Dinh province) for the crime of "Illegal drug trafficking".
Defendant Pham Ly Vu Duy (born 1984), also known as Duy Troc, residing in Bac Lieu City (Bac Lieu Province) was prosecuted for the crime of "Resisting a person on official duty".
According to the indictment, Truong and Phuong lived together as husband and wife in a rented room in Nghi Phu commune, Vinh city. At about 2:30 p.m. on January 2, 2020, a man named Hung in Tuong Duong district called Phuong and said that his friend had 1 kg of ketamine to sell for 280 million VND. Phuong agreed to buy it and arranged to make a transaction that same evening in Tuong Duong.

After that, Phuong told Truong to go with her to pawn her car for 350 million VND. To have a means of buying "goods", Phuong and Truong rented another car. Because she did not know how to drive a manual transmission, Phuong asked Duy (Phuong's brother-in-law) to go with her to drive. However, Phuong and Truong did not say they were going to buy drugs.
After that, Duy drove Phuong and Truong from Vinh City to Tuong Duong District. Following Hung's instructions, Phuong had no difficulty finding this young man. When they met Hung, Truong and Duy were on the side of the road, while Phuong rode Hung's motorbike to get the drugs.
After the transaction, Duy drove Phuong and Truong back to Vinh City. At around 3:30 a.m. on January 3, when the car reached Lang Khe Commune, Con Cuong District, the police signaled for the car to stop. Fearing arrest, Phuong urged Duy to drive away.
Fearing that he would be implicated and involved in legal matters, Duy did not obey the police's orders and drove his car into the body of a Tuong Duong District Police car that was blocking the road ahead. Duy then continued to reverse the car and crashed into the front of another Nghe An Provincial Police car blocking the road behind. As a result, both cars were scratched and damaged. The police fired warning shots into the air and shot at the car's tires, but Duy did not stop and continued to drive away. Phuong took the drugs and threw them out to destroy the evidence. After driving a short distance, the car's tire was punctured, and the three subjects opened the door in an attempt to escape, but were arrested by the police.
At the trial, the defendants admitted their crimes and asked the jury to reduce their sentences so they could return to the community soon.
It is known that defendant Phuong was tried twice for drug-related crimes.
The panel sentenced defendant Nguyen Thi Phuong to life in prison, Trinh Xuan Truong to 20 years in prison for "Illegal drug trafficking"; defendant Pham Ly Vu Duy was sentenced to 2 years in prison for "Resisting a person on official duty".
