(Baonghean.vn) - Witnessing Vietnamese fans struggling for tickets to watch the Vietnam - Malaysia match, a reporter from the famous magazine Fourfourtwo currently based in Thailand felt very surprised.

In recent days, the Vietnam Football Federation and fans have created a ticket fever, even though the Vietnam team is still competing in the group stage of the AFF Cup 2018. After the victory over Laos, Vietnamese fans lined up from midnight in the hope of buying tickets for the match against Malaysia on November 16.

Outside, black market tickets are sold by subjects at prices 5-6 times higher than the original value, a pair of tickets can cost up to 3 million VND. Some people also take advantage of this to collect parking fees of up to 30,000 VND, a bottle of water for 15,000 VND, 3 times higher than the normal price.

According to research, VFF sold about 3,000 tickets online on the website, 9,000 tickets directly at the counter. About 11,000 tickets via official dispatch to serve agencies, organizations, companies... The rest are invitations, tickets for sponsors, clubs in V.League and national players. Meanwhile, the capacity of My Dinh National Stadium is 40,000 seats.

Witnessing the scene of Vietnamese fans jostling and struggling to buy tickets to watch the group stage matches, Thai reporter Bee Uamklat said: “Because the Vietnamese team is very strong and has a chance to win the championship. The fever of Vietnamese football is similar to Thailand 2 years ago under coach Kiatisuk. However, Vietnamese fans have such strong endurance and love, they can queue overnight. Meanwhile, Thai fans only create a fever for big matches, not so patient.”

Fourfourtwo's reporter also revealed that all tickets for the Thai national team to compete in the AFF Cup 2018 were sold online by the Football Association of Thailand. For important matches in Thailand, the black market ticket price outside the market is only twice the original price at most. Thai fans calmly choose to watch on TV or mobile phones if they cannot buy tickets.

“I don’t know how to describe my feelings when I see such images. I feel sorry for those who waited from midnight to buy tickets. On the other hand, I feel jealous that Vietnamese fans are more passionate than Thai fans. It is clear that the VFF’s management and ticket distribution is having problems,” Bee Uamklat shared./.
