On the afternoon of October 18, the 19th Congress of Nghe An Provincial Party Committee, term 2020 - 2025, closed. Comrade Thai Thanh Quy - Alternate member of the Party Central Committee, Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee delivered the closing speech of the Congress. Dear delegates!

Dear Congress!

After three days of urgent, serious and highly responsible work before the Party Committee and People of the province,The 19th Congress of Nghe An Provincial Party Committee, term 2020 - 2025 has completed the entire program and content set out.

The Congress focused on discussing and unanimously approved the Political Report, the Report reviewing the leadership and direction of the 18th Provincial Party Executive Committee, term 2015-2020, and the Action Program to implement the Resolution of the 19th Provincial Party Congress with many responsible, dedicated, and democratic opinions.

"The Congress passed the Resolution for the 2020-2025 term with high consensus and unity, demonstrating the will, aspirations, and greater determination and aspirations of the Party Committee, government and people of Nghe An province in the new term, with the great goal of striving to make Nghe An a fairly developed province in the Northern region by 2025 and a fairly developed province in the whole country by 2030."

The Congress discussed, contributed opinions and expressed consensus on the draft documents to be submitted to the 13th National Congress of the Party. Thereby, it demonstrated intellectual concentration and high responsibility, continuing to affirm the absolute trust of all cadres, party members and people of Nghe An in the glorious revolutionary cause of our Party and people.

The Congress elected the Provincial Party Executive Committee for the 19th term, 2020 - 2025, consisting of 64 comrades, representing the intelligence, moral qualities, capacity, and fighting strength of the Party Committee, ensuring continuity, inheritance and development, and assuming the responsibility of leading and organizing the successful implementation of the Congress Resolution. The Congress elected 29 official delegates and 2 alternate delegates representing the voices of more than 19Ten thousand Party members of the Party Committee attended the 13th National Congress of the Party.

The results of the elections at the Congress and the first meeting of the Provincial Party Executive Committee basically achieved a high number of votes, focused, demonstrating trust and high unity throughout the Party.

The Congress was honored to have Comrade Nguyen Xuan Phuc - Politburo member, Prime Minister, on behalf of the Politburo, attend and give a speech directing the Congress. The Prime Minister encouraged and acknowledged the achievements of the Party Committee and the people of the whole province in the past term, oriented the key issues, immediate and long-term tasks for the Party Committee and the people of Nghe An to carry out in the new term and the following years with the hope that Nghe An will develop commensurate with the homeland of beloved Uncle Ho! The Congress assigned the new Party Executive Committee to seriously and fully absorb the opinions and directions of the Prime Minister and the comments of the delegates; revise and officially promulgate the documents of the Congress.

Since the first months of 2020, the Covid-19 epidemic has been complicated, localities and units in the whole province have had to direct the organization of disease prevention, maintain and restore economic development, and organize Party Congresses at all levels in accordance with regulations. With the spirit of solidarity, proactiveness and creativity, the entire Party Committee has overcome difficulties and challenges, including organizing well congresses at all levels from the grassroots to the upper levels; and has seriously and thoughtfully prepared in terms of politics, ideology and organization, creating an important foundation and premise for today's Congress to be successfully organized.

The preparation process for the Congress has created extensive political activities, organized many patriotic emulation movements among cadres, party members and the masses towards the Congress. The Congress warmly commends and acknowledges the Party organizations, mass organizations, all cadres, party members, soldiers and people of the province who have devoted their affection, attention and enthusiastically contributed their efforts and intelligence to the Congress over the past months.

The Congress sincerely thanks the regular and close leadership and direction of the Politburo and the Central Party Secretariat; the valuable support of the Central Party agencies; the State, the National Assembly and the Government; the ministries, branches, central organizations, the Party Committee and the Military Region 4 Command for the Party Committee and the People of Nghe An over the past time, as well as during the Congress.

We would like to sincerely thank the veteran revolutionaries; the key leaders of the province through the periods; the comrades who are the children of Nghe An who are working and have retired in all parts of the country for always encouraging, supporting, accompanying and contributing their enthusiastic and responsible opinions to the development of our province.

The Congress respectfully thanks the active contributions of the comrades of the Provincial Party Executive Committee, the members of the Provincial Party Standing Committee of the 18th term who were not re-elected to the 19th term Executive Committee and the comrades who have transferred jobs or retired during the past term. We wish you good health, happy families and continued attention and support for the 19th term Provincial Party Executive Committee to successfully complete the tasks entrusted to you by the Party and the People.

We would like to express our deep gratitude to the leaders, delegates and distinguished guests who attended, encouraged and sent congratulatory letters and telegrams to the Congress.

The success of today’s Congress is of great significance, opening a new development stage for the province. The good news of the Congress will strongly encourage cadres, party members, soldiers of the armed forces and the people in the whole province to strive to compete, overcome difficulties, and strive to fulfill at the highest level the goals and tasks of the new term.

Our important task right after the Congress is to promptly propagate and widely disseminate the results of the Congress; organize well the study and thorough understanding of the Congress Resolution for cadres, party members and people of all walks of life, create unity in perception, strong movement in action, and soon bring the Congress Resolution into life."

Each delegate attending the Congress today must be an active nucleus, attracting cadres, party members and the masses to actively participate in patriotic emulation movements and actively implement the Resolution of the Congress. Party committees at all levels, authorities, the Fatherland Front and mass organizations in the province need to proactively develop and deploy programs and action plans to implement the Resolution in a specific, practical and feasible manner for each locality and unit; creating a spirit and motivation for exciting emulation right from the first days of the new term.
