Tonight (May 3) the National Radio Festival will open in Nghe An.

On the morning of May 3, the delegation attending the 2018 National Radio Festival led by comrade Nguyen The Ky - Member of the Party Central Committee, General Director of the Voice of Vietnam Radio Station, offered flowers and incense to President Ho Chi Minh at the Kim Lien relic site (Nam Dan district).

Also accompanying the delegation was comrade Le Minh Thong - Member of the Provincial Party Committee, Vice Chairman of Nghe An Provincial People's Committee.

On the occasion of the 128th anniversary of President Ho Chi Minh's birthday, the Voice of Vietnam presented a sound system and broadcasting system to the Kim Lien Relic Site. This is one of the sideline activities of the 13th National Radio Festival organized by the Voice of Vietnam in coordination with Nghe An Radio and Television Station.

Also this morning, an exhibition of radio and television equipment and technology with many practical and new contents was opened in Vinh City.

In addition, at Nghe An Radio and Television Station, comrades Nguyen The Ky, Le Minh Thong, comrade Ho Phuc Hop - Member of the Provincial Party Committee, Head of the Provincial Party Committee's Propaganda Department and comrade Nguyen Nhu Khoi - Member of the Provincial Party Committee, Director of Nghe An Radio and Television Station pressed the button to officially broadcast the high-resolution television channel NTV-HD. At the ceremony, Voice of Vietnam presented the Golden Lotus Radio studio equipment worth more than 1 billion VND to Nghe An Radio and Television Station.

Along with these activities, the art program "Returning to Lotus Village" will be held on the evening of May 4 at the Nghe An Provincial Labor Culture House with the participation of artists, actors, musicians from the Voice of Vietnam Theater and children from the Vietnamese-German Children's Cultural House of Nghe An Province. This is an art program to celebrate the 128th birthday of President Ho Chi Minh.

13th National Radio Festival

The opening ceremony will take place at 8:00 p.m. on May 3 at the Nghe An Provincial Labor Culture House. Along with the opening ceremony, the closing ceremony and the art program "Returning to Lotus Village" will be broadcast live on VTV channels: VOV1, VOV3, VTC1, VTC3, VOVTV, Nghe An Radio and Television Station (NTV) and a number of local radio and television stations.

With the theme "Radio with the cause of promoting industrialization, modernization of the country and international integration", this year's National Radio Festival has the participation of all 63 Radio and Television stations of provinces and cities across the country; 14 units of VOV; the Radio and Television Center of the People's Army, the Radio, Television and Cinema Center of the People's Public Security and the Youth and Children's Radio Department.

The Organizing Committee received 257 entries in 5 categories including: live program; reportage; general program; ethnic language program; radio story.

Previously, the Northern Regional Preliminary Round took place from March 22 to March 23, 2018 at Thai Nguyen Radio and Television Station. The Central Highlands Regional Preliminary Round took place from March 29 to March 30, 2018 at Binh Dinh Radio and Television Station. The Southern Regional Preliminary Round took place from April 3 to April 4, 2018 at Dong Thap Radio and Television Station.

After the preliminary round, 216 works entered the final round held in Nghe An province. Among them, there were 31 ethnic language programs, 33 radio stories, 65 reports, 53 compilation programs and 34 live programs.
