The new Mazda2 will be launched in Vietnam tonight.

Truong Hai will launch the new generation Mazda2 compact car tonight (July 10th) in the coastal city of Da Nang.

In the Vietnamese market, Truong Hai has only distributed the Mazda2 hatchback. For the 2015 model year, Truong Hai may distribute both sedan and hatchback versions, increasing competition in the B-segment car market as the Mazda brand continues to gain consumer attention and preference.

This is also one of the three strategic vehicle lines that Truong Hai will localize in 2015.

In terms of design, the new generation Mazda2 stands out with its Kodo design language – a design style that is gaining popularity on its larger siblings such as the Mazda3 and Mazda6.

The car has compact dimensions with a length of 4,060 mm, a width of 1,695 mm, and a height of 1,500 mm. Exterior highlights include sharp headlights, softly curved sides, and a five-point grille. The rear features a liftgate, a roof spoiler, and sharp, triangular taillights.

The car's interior is designed to be neat, simple, yet user-friendly and packed with amenities, including leather seats, the MZD Connect infotainment system, a 7-inch LCD touchscreen, a 6-speaker sound system, CD/MP3 player, AUX and USB connectivity, Bluetooth, a rearview camera, paddle shifters, push-button start, Idling Stop, halogen headlights, and daytime running lights.

Safety features on the vehicle include dual airbags, ABS brakes, EBD electronic brake force distribution, BA emergency brake assist, DSC electronic stability control, Traction Control system, etc.

The vehicle is equipped with a 1.5L SkyActiv-G I4 gasoline engine, producing 113 horsepower at 6,000 rpm and a maximum torque of 148 Nm at 4,000 rpm, paired with either a 6-speed SkyActiv-Drive automatic or a 6-speed manual transmission. Additionally, this model is also available with a 1.5L SKYACTIV-D diesel engine producing 105 horsepower and a 1.3L Skyactiv-G gasoline engine option.

With its completely new design, the 2015 Mazda2 is a bestseller in many overseas markets. This model will undoubtedly become a strong competitor to the Toyota Vios in the highly competitive B-segment.
