Vietnam has sent “Pao’s Story” (2007), “Ao lua Ha Dong” (2008), “Don’t Burn” (2010), “Khat vong Thang Long” (2012), “Mui co cham” (2013) and “Trung so” (2015) to compete for awards at the Oscars. But in all the years that our films participated, we failed right from the qualifying round. No Vietnamese film has made it to the final nomination round of the Oscars’ “Best Foreign Language Film” category.
