How are violations of protection regulations handled?
(BNA) - Mr. Vo Hoang in Vinh city asked, how is the crime of violating protection regulations handled?
Article 410 of the 2015 Penal Code (amended and supplemented in 2017) stipulates the crime of violating protection regulations as follows:
1. Anyone who fails to comply with regulations on patrolling, guarding, escorting, or escorting in one of the following cases shall be subject to non-custodial reform for up to 03 years or imprisonment from 06 months to 05 years:
a) Causing physical injury to the person being protected or escorted;
b) Damaging technical means and military equipment;
c) Causing property damage from VND 100,000,000 to under VND 500,000,000;
d) Causing other serious consequences.

2. Committing a crime in one of the following cases shall be punishable by imprisonment from 03 to 07 years:
a) Causing the death of the person being protected or escorted;
b) Loss of technical means and military equipment;
c) In combat;
d) In a war zone;
d) Enticing others to commit crimes;
e) Causing property damage of VND 500,000,000 or more;
g) Causing other very serious or especially serious consequences.
