'Caught' female scammer with trick of ordering birthday flowers with real money
Authorities have temporarily detained Phan Thi Kim Tuyen (born 1992) to investigate her fraudulent behavior of appropriating property of many people by ordering birthday flowers made with real money.
On April 14, Loc Chau Commune Police, Bao Loc City (Lam Dong) said that the authorities had temporarily detained Phan Thi Kim Tuyen (born in 1992, residing in Loc Tien Ward, Bao Loc City) to investigate her behavior.fraud and appropriation of propertyof many people with the form of ordering birthday flowers made with real money.
Previously, on April 12, Loc Chau Commune Police received a report from Ms. Cao Thi Nga - owner of a flower shop in the area about a woman named Tuyen ordering a bouquet of flowers made of real money worth more than 7.2 million VND and then appropriating it.
Specifically, when receiving the bouquet of flowers, this woman asked for Ms. Nga’s account number and then transferred money. Seeing that the transfer was successful, Ms. Nga let the woman take the bouquet of flowers and money.


Waiting for the money to not be credited to her account, Ms. Nga called the person who bought the bouquet with money but could not get in touch. Suspecting that she had been scammed, the flower shop owner posted the incident on social media to warn people about fraudulent behavior.
During the investigation, Loc Chau Commune Police and Investigation Team Area 3, Lam Dong Provincial Police coordinated with Phu Loi Ward Police, Thu Dau Mot City (Binh Duong) to arrest Phan Thi Kim Tuyen.
Initially, Tuyen confessed that in order to have money to pay off debts and for personal expenses, he committed fraud and appropriated property by contacting flower and birthday cake shops and ordering products made with real money.
When reaching an agreement, the subject hired someone to fake a bank transaction and successfully transferred money to the shop owners to appropriate property.
With this trick, the police initially determined that Phan Thi Kim Tuyen had appropriated more than 7.2 million VND from Ms. Cao Thi Nga (residing in Loc Chau commune); Ms. Le Thi My Dung (Loc Nga commune, Bao Loc city) had 5.3 million VND from Tuyen and Ms. Do Bich Ngoc (Loc An commune, Bao Lam district) had 4.4 million VND from Tuyen.
