General Secretary and President sends Mid-Autumn Festival greetings to children
On the occasion of the 2019 Mid-Autumn Festival, on September 9, General Secretary and President Nguyen Phu Trong sent a letter to Vietnamese children in the country, children in the overseas Vietnamese community and children of foreigners in Vietnam.
On the occasion of the Mid-Autumn Festival, I am very happy to send my love and best wishes to Vietnamese children in the country, children in the Vietnamese community abroad and foreign children in Vietnam.
I am very pleased to see that in the past school year, you have made great efforts and progressed in your studies and training, enthusiastically participated in social activities, done many good deeds, and become good children, good students, and good grandchildren of Uncle Ho. Many of you have achieved high results in national and international competitions, bringing glory to the young generation of Vietnam, lighting up great faith and hope in the young generation, the future owners of the country.
This year, Vietnam and other countries around the world celebrate the 30th anniversary of the United Nations Convention on the Rights of the Child. The Party, the State, schools, families and society always care for, look after and create the best conditions for children to play, study, practice and develop comprehensively in a safe, healthy environment and fully exercise children's rights.
I hope you will continue to practice the Five Precepts of Uncle Ho well: be filial to grandparents and parents, respect teachers, be polite to adults, unite, help friends in difficult circumstances; study hard and cultivate virtue and talent so that in the future you will become the masters of building our country to become more and more prosperous and civilized.
I wish you all a happy and rewarding Mid-Autumn Festival.
Friendly!".
