Lao General Secretary and President begins official visit to Vietnam
On the morning of December 19, Lao General Secretary and President Bounnhang Vorachith arrived at Noi Bai International Airport, Hanoi, to begin an official friendship visit to Vietnam from December 19-21, at the invitation of General Secretary Nguyen Phu Trong and President Tran Dai Quang.

Welcoming Lao General Secretary and President Bounnhang Vorachith at Noi Bai International Airport were comrades: Tran Quoc Vuong, Politburo member, Standing member of the Secretariat, Head of the Central Inspection Commission; Nguyen Van Nen, Secretary of the Party Central Committee, Chief of the Central Office; Hoang Binh Quan, Party Central Committee member, Head of the Party Central Committee's External Relations Commission; Dao Viet Trung, Party Central Committee member, Head of the President's Office; Nguyen Duc Chung, Party Central Committee member, Chairman of the Hanoi People's Committee.
Mr. Nguyen Ba Hung, Vietnamese Ambassador to Laos; Nguyen Huy Tang, Deputy Head of the Central Foreign Affairs Commission; Dang Dinh Quy, Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs and many students from Hanoi and Lao students studying in Vietnam also welcomed the delegation.
On the Lao side, there was Ambassador Thongsavanh Phomvihane and staff of the Lao Embassy in Vietnam.
The official friendship visit to Vietnam by Lao General Secretary and President Bounnhang Vorachith aims to strengthen the bond and political trust between the senior leaders of the two Parties and two countries.
On the Vietnamese side, we continue to affirm the close solidarity, trust, loyalty and purity of our Party, State and people towards the Lao Party, State and people; affirm Vietnam's strong and comprehensive support for the cause of innovation, protection and construction of the brotherly country of Laos.
According to the program, on the morning of December 19, the official welcoming ceremony for General Secretary and President of Laos Bounnhang Vorachith will be solemnly held at the Presidential Palace.
Afterwards, General Secretary Nguyen Phu Trong will hold talks with General Secretary and President of Laos Bounnhang Vorachith./.
