In all circumstances, a large number of members and journalists have always accompanied the nation, closely following reality, actively propagating the Party's guidelines and policies, the State's policies and laws; encouraging and cheering the entire people in the past struggles for independence and freedom, as well as in the cause of building and defending the Fatherland today; at the same time, actively participating in the work of Party building, building a clean and strong political system, fighting against corruption and negativity; exposing the plots and tricks of hostile forces and political opportunists, protecting the Party's ideological foundation; consolidating and strengthening the great national unity bloc. Closed recordgWith the great support of the Vietnam Journalists Association and the team of journalists nationwide, our Party and State have awarded the Vietnam Journalists Association the Gold Star Order, the Ho Chi Minh Order and many other noble awards.

Letter of General Secretary and President Nguyen Phu Trong congratulating the Vietnam Journalists Association. |
Our country is entering a new period of development with new positions and strengths, many opportunities, advantages and difficulties, and challenges intertwined. In the context of the strong development of the Fourth Industrial Revolution, the task of the press is very heavy but also very glorious. I hope that the Vietnam Journalists Association and its members nationwide will promote their revolutionary traditions, build the Association to be increasingly developed, clean and strong; constantly care for and foster the ideology, politics, expertise, profession, especially professional ethics for its members. At all levels of the association, each journalist should imbibe and well implement the teaching of beloved Uncle Ho: "Press cadres are also revolutionary soldiers. Pens and paper are their sharp weapons", continue to innovate the content and methods of operation, to truly be a reliable address in the professional activities of journalists. I request that Party committees at all levels, authorities at all levels and people of all walks of life continue to pay attention and create favorable conditions for the Vietnam Journalists Association and the press to successfully fulfill their tasks.
With affection and trust, I wish all levels of the association, members, and journalists nationwide good health, joy, happiness, constant innovation, creativity, and efforts to rise up, always worthy of being pioneers on the ideological and cultural front of the Party.
