The General Secretary and President affirmed that the Party and State of Vietnam will create favorable conditions for the two countries' defense relations to continue to strengthen and develop.
On the afternoon of November 26, at the Party Central Committee Headquarters, General Secretary and President Nguyen Phu Trong cordially received a high-ranking delegation of the Ministry of the Revolutionary Armed Forces (FAR) of the Republic of Cuba led by Senior Lieutenant General Leopoldo Cintra Frias - Politburo member of the Communist Party of Cuba, Minister of the Ministry of the Revolutionary Armed Forces of Cuba (FAR), who is on a working visit to Vietnam.

Lieutenant General Leopoldo Cintra Frías informed the General Secretary and President about the situation of the country and the revolutionary armed forces of Cuba in recent times; emphasized the initial results of the amendment of the Cuban Constitution; and said that all classes of Cuban people, including Cubans abroad, have actively participated in contributing opinions to the draft Constitution.
General Secretary and President Nguyen Phu Trong warmly welcomed Comrade Leopoldo Cintra Frias to visit Vietnam again; congratulated the great achievements that the Party, State and people of Cuba have achieved in the process of updating the socio-economic model in the spirit of the 6th and 7th Congresses of the Communist Party of Cuba; congratulated the success of the amendment of the Cuban Constitution, emphasizing the important significance of the participation of the Cuban people in contributing their opinions to the draft Constitution, demonstrating the people's support and consensus with the revolutionary cause led by the Communist Party of Cuba.
