Before arriving in Hanoi, on November 10, Mr. Xi Jinping visited Da Nang to attend the APEC 2017 Summit. He delivered a speech at the APEC CEO Summit. Yesterday, in Da Nang, Prime Minister Nguyen Xuan Phuc met with Mr. Xi Jinping.
During the meeting, the General Secretary and President of China expressed his pleasure in visiting Vietnam again and attending the APEC Summit right after the 19th Party Congress, and congratulated the important achievements that the Party, Government and people of Vietnam have achieved in recent times.
He highly appreciated the organization of the host Vietnam and warmly congratulated Vietnam on successfully organizing the APEC Summit 2017.
Visiting and working in Vietnam earlier this month, Chinese Foreign Minister Wang Yi emphasized that the State visit to Vietnam and attendance at the APEC Summit was General Secretary Xi Jinping's first foreign visit after the 19th National Congress of the Communist Party of China; demonstrating the high regard and special affection of Xi Jinping and the Central Committee of the Communist Party of China for the Party and State of Vietnam.
