General Secretary Tran Phu was born on May 1, 1904, and served as General Secretary of the Party from October 1930 to April 1931.

SUMMARY OF WORK EXPERIENCE

- 1918 - 1922: Tran Phu studied at Hue National School.

- 1922: He topped the Thành Chung examination at Hue National School and was appointed a teacher at Cao Xuân Dục Primary School in Vinh (Nghe An).

- 1925: Joined the Viet Restoration Society in Vinh, which later changed its name to the Tan Viet Revolutionary Party.

- September 1925: Went to Laos to campaign for revolution.

- 1926: Participated in activities such as: the movement demanding that the French colonialists release the patriot Phan Boi Chau, organizing a memorial service for Phan Chu Trinh, and opening a class to teach the Vietnamese Quốc ngữ script.

- June 1926: Went to Guangzhou (China) to participate in the second political training course taught directly by Leader Nguyen Ai Quoc and was admitted to the Vietnam Revolutionary Youth Association.

- October 1926: Tran Phu was admitted to the Communist Youth League and assigned by the Youth League's General Headquarters to Central Vietnam to build and develop the League's base.

- January 1927: Returned to Guangzhou. There, Comrade was sent by Leader Nguyen Ai Quoc to study at the University of the East in the Soviet Union under the pseudonym Licovay.

- November 1929: After graduating from the University of the East, Comrade received instructions from the Communist International and secretly boarded a ship to Leningrad (now Saint Petersburg) to begin his journey back to Vietnam to carry out revolutionary activities.

- February 8, 1930: Comrade arrived in Saigon, then went to Hong Kong and met Leader Nguyen Ai Quoc, and was introduced to participate in the activities of the Provisional Executive Committee (Provisional Central Executive Committee).

- April 1930: Returned to Hai Phong and was added to the Provisional Executive Committee (July 1930) and assigned the task of drafting the "Political Thesis".

- October 1930: The first meeting of the Central Executive Committee of the Party, held in Hong Kong (China), adopted the "Political Thesis" and elected the official Central Executive Committee; he was elected General Secretary of the Party.

- March 1931: Presided over the 2nd Central Committee Conference in Saigon to discuss the rectification of the Party after the enemy's crackdown. The conference issued resolutions on the Party's current tasks, the Party's organization, and propaganda.

- April 18, 1931: He was arrested by the enemy and imprisoned in Saigon Central Prison.

- September 6, 1931: He passed away at Cho Quan Hospital, Saigon.

- January 12, 1999: The remains of Comrade Tran Phu were moved and reburied in his hometown of Duc Tho, Ha Tinh province.
