Nghe An Agricultural Materials Joint Stock Corporation: Efforts to affirm the brand

While the state-owned agricultural materials industry is declining, Nghe An Agricultural Materials Joint Stock Corporation has not only remained strong, but also continued to raise its status as the "leading flag" of the country in the materials industry. Since 2005, operating under the equitization model, having gone through many difficulties, the corporation has been more dynamic, creative and proactive in production and business, and its materials products have also become more diverse.
Identifying agriculture as a key sector, to enhance competitiveness in fertilizer quality, the company has decided to invest in Sao Vang Nghe An Fertilizer Factory, specializing in the production of high-quality synthetic NPK. This modern production line, worth over 100 billion VND, has a capacity of 100 thousand tons/year in the Southeast Economic Zone.
The unit has boldly invested in urea steam melting technology and steam drying technology to produce quality fertilizers such as NPK 16-16-8 and NPK 15-5-20 mixed fertilizers.

Through surveys, farmers said that using these types of fertilizers all achieve high productivity. In the near future, the unit will produce organic fertilizers using Japanese technology to help farmers effectively cultivate crops.
In addition to the traditional fertilizer sector, in recent years the Corporation has also shifted to research, production and trading of plant varieties. Up to now, the unit has launched new rice varieties, such as NA2 pure material rice variety, Nam Dan red rice variety...
In addition, new advanced varieties have also been successfully transferred such as hybrid corn LVN14, peanut L26, pure rice LH12, BT09, NA6 Materials... In particular, VT-NA2 rice variety has been specially recognized by the Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development as a national rice variety.
This rice variety has the advantage of being short-term, can be planted in both spring and summer-autumn crops, with an average yield of 65-70 quintals/ha, delicious, sticky, and rich in flavor. All the varieties of crops bearing the brand name “Nghe An Agricultural Supplies” have contributed to creating golden seasons for farmers in Nghe An and many neighboring provinces.

The unit not only researches and creates new plant varieties and new fertilizers, but also has a team of staff specializing in transferring scientific and technological advances to agricultural cooperatives through large-scale field models of rice, corn, peanuts, etc.
All large-scale field models are provided with advance seeds and fertilizers by the Corporation without interest, and at the end of the season, the products produced are purchased by the Corporation at a price 20% higher than the market price at the time of purchase.
In 2019, Nghe An Agricultural Materials Corporation will invest in additional modern rice processing machinery lines, build a rice brand for the domestic market and gradually conquer the international market.
With its efforts in production, business as well as research and transfer of scientific and technical advances, the Corporation has been recognized by the Ministry of Science and Technology as an agricultural science and technology unit, specializing in the field of seed production and trading. This is the first unit in Nghe An province operating in this field.
Actively participate in science and technology activities
The company also actively participated in the National Rice Product Project, such as when the National Product Development Framework Project "High-quality, high-yield Vietnamese rice products" was issued, Nghe An Agricultural Materials Joint Stock Corporation participated in 3 science and technology projects, including: Research on rice varieties with high commodity value for the main rice growing areas nationwide; Industrial-scale production of high-quality seeds for key rice varieties and high commodity value for domestic consumption and export in the Northern provinces and the South Central Coast; Research and development of advanced cultivation techniques package in rice production in the Central coastal provinces.

Initially, the Corporation has successfully and officially recognized the NA6 Material rice variety as meeting the criteria in the National Rice Product Project (this product has been mass produced on nearly 11,000 hectares, expected to increase to 80,000 hectares by 2020 in the North Central region).
In 2018, Nghe An Agricultural Materials Joint Stock Corporation boldly proposed to local authorities and the Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development, Vietnam Academy of Agricultural Sciences to participate in the project: "Building a model of applying advanced technology to production, processing and preservation of seeds in the value chain linkage of the rice production industry in the North Central region" with the content: Support for the production of national products.
