The document stated: Recently, the General Department of Tourism has received feedback from travel companies and tourists about the quality of some tourist accommodation establishments that have been classified as degraded, with poor hygiene, and staff directly in contact with tourists being impolite and unprofessional...
To overcome the above situation, the General Department of Tourism requires tourist accommodation establishments nationwide to quickly inspect and review all technical facilities of the accommodation establishments; promptly upgrade, repair and replace degraded and damaged equipment, ensuring that 3-5 star tourist accommodation establishments are consistent, high-quality and professional.

Accommodation establishments need to review the entire staff, recruit enough qualified staff for all positions, have a plan to train and improve service skills and educate to improve civilized behavior for all staff; resolutely replace and transfer staff with inappropriate attitudes towards guests and weak expertise to other suitable departments.
In addition, units must check environmental hygiene and food safety, ensure all areas in the accommodation facility are always clean, and food prepared to serve guests must be safe.
The document emphasized: The General Department of Tourism will preside over and coordinate with the Inspectorate of the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism and the Departments of Tourism to inspect tourist accommodation establishments nationwide in June and resolutely revoke the star rating decision for accommodation establishments that do not ensure quality according to prescribed standards.
