The leader of the General Department of Tourism said that he will consult with the Guinness World Records Organization, because this title should belong to Son Doong of Vietnam, not the British Royal Cave Association.

Son Doong Cave has been recognized by the Guinness World Records as the world's largest cave. However, the cave is in Vietnam but the record was awarded to the British Cave Research Association.

VietKings also said that this unit is coordinating with the Quang Binh Provincial People's Committee to prepare a dossier to send to the World Records Union - WorldKings, requesting WorldKings to consider and establish a World Record for Quang Binh province with the content: Son Doong Cave is the largest natural cave in the world.

VietKings affirmed that Vietnam thanks the British Royal Cave Association for exploring and determining the scale and size of Son Doong Cave to announce to the world that Son Doong Cave is the largest cave in the world. However, the first great credit belongs to the Vietnamese because the first discoverer of this place was Mr. Ho Khanh, a resident of Son Trach Commune, Bo Trach District, Quang Binh Province, Vietnam.

Son Doong Cave is a place in the Phong Nha - Ke Bang cave complex (Son Trach commune, Bo Trach district, Quang Binh province, Vietnam). According to geologists, Son Doong Cave was formed about 2 to 5 million years ago with an estimated length of about 5 to 6.5 km, 200 m high and 150 m wide.

With these parameters, Son Doong Cave surpasses the world record of Deer Cave in Gunnung Mulu National Park, Malaysia (120m high, 150m wide, 2km long). According to the assessment of the Vietnam Record Organization (Vietkings), Son Doong has become the largest, most magnificent and splendid natural cave in the world, surprising and astonishing even experienced cave experts of mankind.
