Regarding the incident of mistakenly awarding the Guinness World Record recognizing Son Doong as the world's largest cave, Mr. Nguyen Van Tuan, General Director of the Vietnam National Administration of Tourism, said that the Vietnam Heritage Association has coordinated with Quang Binh province to send a document to the World Record Organization requesting to correct it according to its true nature.

Responding to a recent question from a reporter about this "mistake", the head of Vietnam's tourism industry, Mr. Nguyen Van Tuan, said that there was an unfortunate mistake regarding Son Doong Cave. This record should have been awarded in Vietnam, the country that owns Son Doong Cave, not at the agency that discovered this cave.

Currently, the Vietnam Heritage Association has coordinated with Quang Binh province to send a document to the World Record Organization requesting appropriate corrections to this "wrong award", Mr. Tuan shared.

Son Doong is a place name in Phong Nha - Ke Bang cave complex located in Son Trach commune, Bo Trach district, Quang Binh province of Vietnam.

This place in Vietnam has been recognized by the Guinness World Records as the world's largest cave. However, there was a mistake that the record for Son Doong Cave should have been awarded in Vietnam, but it was awarded by this organization to the British Caving Association.

Son Doong Cave was explored and discovered by British cave expert Ho Khanh and Howard Limbert. Currently, the image of Son Doong has been widely promoted around the world.
