Rear-end collision with sleeper bus, front of truck crushed

The collision occurred at around 8:30 a.m. on October 24 on National Highway 1A, passing through the Yen Ly overpass intersection (Dien Yen commune, Dien Chau district).

At the time, truck with license plate 89C - 024.98 was traveling on National Highway 1A in the direction of Hanoi - Vinh. When reaching the Yen Ly overpass intersection, due to lack of observation, the truck crashed into the back of a sleeper bus with license plate 51B - 168.25 that was stopping to pick up passengers in front.

The strong collision caused the entire front windshield of the truck to shatter completely, and the front of the truck to be crushed. The left side and rear of the sleeper bus were severely damaged. Fortunately, no one was injured.

The collision caused panic among many passengers on the bus. A passenger who was standing there, waiting for the incident to be resolved, said: “Fortunately, when the incident happened, there was no passenger lying on the left rear of the bus, otherwise the consequences would have been unpredictable.”

Currently, both vehicles are waiting for authorities to come investigate and resolve the incident.
